Assam Direct Recruitment 2024: Exams Scheduled in Three Phases for 35,000 Positions





The Assam government is gearing up to conduct direct recruitment examinations for grade 3 and grade 4 posts across various departments, aiming to fill 35,000 vacancies. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced on Tuesday, July 9, that the recruitment process will be carried out in a transparent manner.

Examination Details

The recruitment process will be conducted in three stages: Preliminary Exam, Mains Exam, and Interview, a structure implemented by the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) for various recruitments including the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE).


Grade 3 Vacancies:

Preliminary Examination Dates: September 15, 22, and 29

Total Vacancies: Over 7,500 positions


Grade 4 Vacancies:

Preliminary Examination Dates: October 20 and 27

Total Vacancies: Over 4,500 positions


Additionally, the Chief Minister highlighted that the physical test for over 6,400 vacancies in Assam Police will commence from October 3. 


Teacher Recruitment

The recruitment exam for more than 13,000 teaching positions in the elementary and secondary education departments will be announced soon, adding to the significant number of vacancies the government aims to fill.


Transparent Recruitment

Chief Minister Sarma emphasized the commitment to a transparent recruitment process, ensuring that the selection for these government positions is fair and merit-based. This initiative is part of the government's broader efforts to enhance public service efficiency and provide employment opportunities.
